Starbucks Drinkers, Meet Chad!
Using a bit of humor, I decided to voice a complaint I have about Starbucks cup lids and their nose murdering chads... at the light expense of others as well. Selected original posts below (I am SeanNotShawn):
Put the Air Hole on the Side
by ChaiTea
Is there a reason why the air hole is placed precisely where your nose touches the lid? Your nose plugs the hole and it is pricked by the pointy chad, not a pleasant experience, but easily solvable. I suggest placing it on the side of the lid (at 3 o'clock) instead of at the top (12 o'clock). It is still far enough away from the drink hole to allow air to pass through while drinking. Thank you.

I don't have a problem with this. Just saying, not everyone's nose hits right at the air hole.

I have the exact same issue! Very annoying to have your nose poked, and it's usually when you are halfway through the drink, and need to raise the cup farther up. I usually pick at the chad until it is smoother. However, then your nose seals the hole when raised up, preventing air from replacing the coffee in the cup. You have to contort your head in such a way as to get ever last drop of goodness without your nose touching the hole. Bonus challenge points for dealing with this while driving.
Maybe they can start including nose tip covers you can wear, then you won't feel the chad poking you while you enjoy drinking your tasty beverage from the safe and properly aerated cup.
I have also dealt with the swishing of hot scalding coffee out of the lid from an ill-fitting seal while walking. Carpet stains too. This hasn't happened to me lately, maybe they fixed that one. While wearing flip flops, it is also not enjoyable to have coffee splash in between your toes.

And thanks for your input ExpertRedHead. By this logic, we should consider leaving our doors unlocked on our cars at the mall because not everyone is a thief.
Why put the left strap on backpacks, not everyone uses both straps while wearing them.
Why make size Medium clothing? Not everyone is size Medium.
We should only do things in life that are 100% inclusive of the intended audience.

^Uh, I never said anything about whether this should/shouldn't be done. I was merely pointing out that for me, personally, it wasn't an issue and that this isn't a universal issue. I never said we should only do things in life that are 100% inclusive. That was kind of a ridiculous extrapolation to make from my comment.

@ExpertRedHead, it appears to me that @SeanNotShawn has a problem with an air hole in his head. The OP and @SeanNotShawn should also consider rhinoplasty.

My nose has finally healed from the last chad incident, thanks everyone. But I am now bordering close to another calamity as my current coffee is almost halfway gone. Prayers please.
And ExpertRedHead, I was merely trying to make a point. Are you the type of person who answers people's questions about products on Amazon with "I don't know"? Why take the time to respond on a thread when you have nothing relatable to add or empathetic to offer? Everyone relax, ExpertRedHead doesn't have this issue, case closed. Cup redesign effort aborted! Must be exhausting to insert your two cents on all the threads in here regardless of the lack of impact on your life.
